Little Women

Little Women, an epic tale of sacrifice and hardship
by Thomas Hischak

Little Women is the upcoming production of Lake County Repertory Theater.

The Story:  Little Women is the heartwarming tale of a poor family of teenage girls growing up during the 1800s.  It is an epic of sacrifice and hardship, love and loss, even life and death, all set against the backdrop of the Civil War.

The pageantry of this production will call for beautiful period costumes, lovely sets and a cast of thirty!  Although Little Women is not a musical, the music of the time will sweep through the show from beginning to end.  It promises to be a masterpiece!

The original novel on which this adaptation by Thomas Hischak is based, was written by Louisa Mae Alcott and has been required reading throughout the United States for over a century.  Amazingly, however, the story is timeless and still resonates today.

Save the dates and get your hanky ready. The Lake County production of Little Women is now in rehearsal!  This show is destined to be a classic within a classic and the show of the Summer 2008 season!
